Clubs & Programs

  • 4-H-  To advance knowledge of agriculture, the environment, health and well-being, and communities.  

 

  • Art-  Available to grades 3-5.  Together we meet once a month after school to create a themed art project for students to take home.

 

  • Band- To provide students a creative outlet through the study of instrumental music and equip them with knowledge that will last a lifetime.

 

  • Baseball-  To make each player the best they can be on and off the field.

 

  • Book Club-  To give students an opportunity to hear the written word being read aloud with emotion, inflection, and character voices.

 

  • Boys' Basketball-  To develop a team atmosphere while learning the fundamentals and skills of basketball.

 

  • Cheerleading-  To enhance positive game-day atmosphere, while learning the fundamentals and skills of basketball.

 

  • Chorus- To enrich students' educational experiences and further develop musical skills through learning and publicly performing music of various styles and time periods.

 

  • Cross Country-  To promote school spirit and assist students in forming healthy habits, while having fun.

 

  • FCA-To present athletes, coaches, and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of serving Jesus in their relationship and in the fellowship of the church.

 

  • Football-  To turn young boys into young men with the direction and purpose of football as a guide.

 

  • Girls' Basketball-  To work on fundamentals while learning good sportsmanship and being competitive.  

 

  • Golf-  To introduce, promote, and foster sportsmanship, respect, and patience while developing positive character traits and instilling values of the sport which can be transferred to real life endeavors.

 

  • Healthy Hornets Club-To promote health in our bodies and minds, and within our families, our school, and our community.

 

  • Jr. Beta Club-To promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among our 6th-8th graders.  Students have to meet specific criteria to be invited to join.

 

  • Kindness-  Available to grades 3-5.  Together we meet once a month before school starts to discuss and create ways to promote kindness at TXR.

 

  • Soccer-  To represent TXR in a positive way while learning and improving soccer skills.

 

  • Softball-  To work on fundamentals while learning good sportsmanship and being competitive.

 

  • Track and Field-  To promote Hornet Pride giving each track and field athlete a chance to complete and win to promote individual and team success while positively promoting our school.

 

  • Volleyball-  To give female students at TXR the opportunity to play volleyball.
